Description
Griffith Observatory is an iconic travel destination in Los Angeles, California. It allows access to the cosmos from Griffith Park on Mount Hollywood to legions of visitors every year. It is free admission and owned and operated by Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. It was one of the first institutions in the USA dedicated to public science. It was made famous for its appearance in the 1955 film Rebel Without A Cause starring another American Icon, James Dean.
