Artist's Description

From the Duck Bridge in Lawrence, Massachusetts, looking up at the former Ayer Mill and clocktower. This is the site of the historic Bread and Roses Strike of the early 20th century. The strike resolved the issue of a better work environment and fairer pay for women. Their rallying cry was “Bread, yes, and Roses too!”
